Little Girl's love

They say love is when two eyes connect across a room, butterflies build up in one's tummy or when one's cheeks blush, noticeable if you are likely to be a brownie, and the man becomes brave enough to ask the lady out and they live happily ever after or at least that is what Hollywood reckons.

However, for this little girl who has grown up in the city, love in her eyes is not like Hollywood's definition. I mean, let's start from basics, Nairobi especially Eastlands is not Hollywood.

To this little girl, love sees beauty but goes beyond what it sees.

If it stops at the beauty, it wasn't love...it was lust.

To her, love is a connection and a relationship between two souls.

It is the long bonding sessions, getting to know each other and appreciating the uniqueness of the inner being.

Love is honestly laying your life bare before him because you trust him.

Love keeps no record of wrongs, in fact, it covers a multitude of sins.

In the little girl's heart, love is remembering her each day when you wake up but only putting her second in command. She acknowledges God as the Chief Commander.

Love is telling her your struggles and trusting her to pray with you and for you, to hold you through life's hardships, encouraging you to look UP to the author of our faith.

Love is being proud of her, yet humbled by the gift of love you have.

Acknowledging she is your precious and God sent.

To this young girl, love is being patient with her to mature from being a little mama's girl to trusting her to be the mother of your children and the love of your life.

To her, love is God for God is love.

She will know that He is her love when He is ordained by God and He knows God, worships Him and soaks himself in God's Word and presence.

So until this little girl grows up, she worries not of anything for she spends her time with her Father, searching His heart and enjoying His presence.

For love will find her in God's timing.
